@1915. Immediate view due South from the top of the Light House.                        There were numerous fences surrounding vegetable gardens. These were erected to keep the wild ponies from eating crops.              Note the sand-bar and houses to the south of silver lake (below).                    View below is to the west, with the original coffee house building on the far right.
